The City Agreement for the Barcelona Healthy and Sustainable Food Strategy for 2030 already has 80 member organisations
Since its launch, member organisations have taken on 25 commitments to advance towards a model that is more sustainable for people and the planet.

In its first months of life, the City Agreement for the Barcelona Healthy and Sustainable Food Strategy for 2030 has managed to bring together a wide range of public and private organisations involved in the food system, from agricultural unions to consumers’ associations, including trade unions, businesses, institutions, professional associations, universities, hospitals, authorities and more.
In total, 80 organisations have decided to take part in this city-wide space for cooperation and joint action to promote actions aimed at transforming the food system, but also to share knowledge, experiences and information.
As the Espigoladors Foundation explains: “We hope that in the City Agreement, all organisations and companies committed to sustainable food will meet together, to share what we are doing, discover things we can’t in our daily lives and find synergies and opportunities for collaboration”.
How to take part in the City Agreement
To take part in this space, you have to join by presenting this form. Once joined, organisations must present a minimum of one commitment or statement of intent, demonstrating to citizens their aspirations to promote healthy and sustainable food through specific actions. So far, 25 commitments have been presented.
With this second level of membership, committed organisations can participate in the Steering Group, obtain better visibility and participate in the Health and Sustainable Food Awards, among other advantages.
