Marina Monsonís López

Visual artist specialising in art, cooking and politics

Marina Monsonís is a visual artist who works with hybrid, heterogeneous processes aimed at modest social transformation rooted in the land and in collective, community and educational projects that link marine sciences, place-based design, gastronomy, graffiti, radical geography, ethnography and critical, oral and gestural memory. She works on projects that connect cookery to political, social and transgenerational projects aimed at stimulating debate, and on the transmission of knowledge about the complexities and conflicts within the concept of Zero Km. She is interested in the coexistence of radical spaces where people are the focus of research, of techniques, of knowledge both local and global, old and new, within a generous and enriching ecosystem, where enjoyment, exchange and harmony prevail.
